AOMG officially announced that Yugyeom had signed an exclusive contract with the label.

The statement read: "We are pleased to announce that Yugyeom has officially signed with AOMG to take a new step together. Please keep an eye on Yugyeom's diverse musical activities with AOMG."

Along with the announcement, Yugyeom was introduced through a 'FRANCHISE' (by Travis Scott) Dance Visual video, which is now available on the AOMGOFFICIAL YouTube channel.

• On June 7, Yugyeom revealed the tracklist for his EP 'Point of View: U' for the first time. The pre-release single is set to drop on June 11, followed by the full EP on June 17, 2021.

• On June 11, the music video for "Want U Around" (feat. DeVita) was officially released on the AOMGOFFICIAL YouTube channel - confirming his signature R&B style with an overwhelming response.

• Achieving Success with the Pre-release Single from His First Solo EP

  • According to data from the global music streaming platform iTunes on June 12, the pre-release single "I Want U Around (Feat. DeVita)" from Yugyeom’s first solo EP "Point Of View: U," released on June 11, topped the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart. Furthermore, the track hit number 1 on iTunes charts in 35 countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Kenya, El Salvador, Turkey, Brazil, Estonia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mongolia, Fiji, Poland, Guatemala, Bahrain, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Peru, India, Singapore, Chile, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Sri Lanka, Argentina, Israel, Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica, Oman, and more, proving Yugyeom's global popularity.

  • Upon its release, "I Want U Around (Feat. DeVita)" also entered at number 1 on Genie Music's real-time chart, a major domestic music platform in South Korea, and maintained its top position until the chart closed.

  • The music video recorded 250,000 views within an hour of its release and surpassed 900,000 views within 19 hours, demonstrating a rapid surge in popularity and clearly reflecting Yugyeom's massive impact.

• On June 13, 2021, AOMG released a short "Performance" video for "I Want U Around," showcasing Yugyeom's exceptional dancing abilities.
